Naturally Different
The Biophilia Project was born from a desire to create opportunities to connect — with nature, with ourselves and with one another.
Growing Souls is about making space to explore what makes us human: our emotions? Feelings? Relationships, creativity, curiosity or sense of wonder? It is about slowing down enough to notice how we function and what we experience. It is about finding ways to express what we feel, and developing a deeper understanding of ourselves and others.
Every human being experiences the world differently.
Naturally Different is the neurodiversity strand of the Biophilia Project, exploring different ways of thinking, learning, communicating, sensing and experiencing the world.
The work is rooted in a neurodiversity-affirming and rights-respecting approach.
Rather than asking neurodivergent people to adapt to environments that create barriers, we ask how we can create environments that recognise human difference and enable everyone to participate, belong and thrive.
The aim is to raise awareness, challenge assumptions and empower neurodivergent minds — while creating spaces where neurodivergence can be discussed openly, understood and valued.
Nature is an important part of this conversation. For me, it was through my own connection with nature and my experience as a neurodivergent person that I began to understand how profoundly our environments can influence how we feel, regulate, learn and connect.
Naturally Different is an invitation to explore what starts when we understand the power of difference — how diversity is rooted in nature, and how the ways we think, sense, feel and experience the world are unique and can become sources of strength.
